The self-tapping grounding button is designed to connect an antistatic ESD mat to a grounding point.
Installation is simple: the button blades are straightened, pushed through the ESD mat and bent back from the underside. This mechanically secures the button to the mat. The alligator clip at the end of the cable is then connected to a suitable grounding point.
